Head-on Crash on Frontage Road in Rosamond
ROSAMOND, Calif. (March 11, 2024) — A fatal head-on crash involving a semi-truck happened Monday morning on Frontage Road near Rattlesnake Road in Rosamond.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:19 a.m. on March 11th, north of West Rosamond Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials responded to the scene of the crash between the white semi-truck and a Dodge Ram 3500 dually pickup truck. The pickup truck reportedly overturned onto its roof.
The Kern County Fire Department sent paramedics to the crash scene to help those injured including one with minor injuries one with moderate injuries and one person who died on scene.
There was roughly 50 gallons of fuel spilled in the crash as well as some debris that wound up on the nearby southbound State Route 14, the report said.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Rosamond crash on Frontage Road.
