Semi-Truck, Van Crash on State Route 28 in Placer County
PLACER COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2022) — A semi-truck and van collided Tuesday morning on Highway 28 at Old County Road at Dollar Point in Placer County.
The collision occurred about 9:10 a.m. on Oct. 25th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The truck driver told authorities the van turned in front of his vehicle and he crashed into it.
Paramedics with Cal Fire responded to help those hurt in the crash, but sadly at least one person died.
Meanwhile, at least one tow truck responded and removed the van from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
