SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2023) — A fatal rollover crash occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway on Wednesday morning at the Oceanside Boulevard exit.
The deadly crash occurred on the northbound I-5 about 6:16 a.m. on Feb. 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a black sedan went off the roadway, down an embankment and overturned.
It’s unknown at this time if any other motorists are involved in the wreck.
The driver apparently had no pulse when emergency medical crews arrived on scene. Sadly, the person was pronounced dead shortly after paramedics arrived. The victim’s name, age and gender was not released. However, one news report stated the driver was a woman “believed to be a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton,” 911 Video News reported.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the collision.
