One Person Killed in Fiery Crash on Pomona Freeway
MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (Sept. 15, 2022) – A fatal Monterey Park crash happened on the Pomona (60) Freeway at Greenwood Avenue.
One person died in the fiery collision about 12:02 a.m. on Sept. 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers arrived at the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway and found two motorists involved in the collision. The drivers were in a silver Toyota Camry and a black sedan.
One of the cars reportedly became engulfed in flames, prompting a response by the Montebello Fire Department.
Unfortunately, one of the occupants from a vehicle died at the scene.
Meanwhile, authorities closed down four traffic lanes due to the fatal crash on the 60 Freeway as well as the investigation into what happened.
