One Dead in Diamond Bar Crash on Freeway Exchange
DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Jan. 6, 2021) – A fatal Diamond Bar crash happened early Thursday morning on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Diamond Bar.
The fatal Diamond Bar crash occurred about 1:07 a.m. on Jan. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened in the eastbound lanes of the Pomona (60) Freeway at the northbound Orange (57) Freeway exchange, said CHP Officials. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed down the transition road between the 60 and 57 Freeways to assist the involved motorists.
They are heading up an investigation into the fatal Diamond Bar crash.
Additionally, the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner did not release the person’s name pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the transition road between the two freeways reopened at 7:20 a.m., police said.
The cause of the crash and liability remains under investigation.
