3-Vehicle Fresno Crash State Route 41, Central Ave
FRESNO, Calif. (July 19, 2021) – A fatal Fresno crash happened Monday morning on Highway 41 at East Central Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a a white Honda Insight, a black Toyota Yaris and a blue Honda Accord collided due to unknown circumstances, the CHP said. The pileup happened about 11:37 a.m. on the southbound side of the Yosemite Freeway also known as Highway 41.
Fatal State Route 41 Crash Investigation
Investigators closed down the southbound lanes of State Route 41. Also, they closed the northbound on ramp to SR-41 and westbound Central Avenue at Highway 41 due to the collision about 12:32 p.m.
Paramedics responded with two ambulances for the injured. Also, at least one person died in the crash, but they have not been identified. The Fresno County Sheriff Coroner will release the victim’s name after family is notified.
Meanwhile, authorities are piecing together evidence to determine fault for the fatal Highway 41 Fresno crash.
