Woman, 62, Killed; 2 Injured in Fullerton Car Accident
FULLERTON, Calif. (April 15, 2024) — A 62-year-old Anaheim woman died early Monday when a car he was riding in was rear-ended on Orangethorpe Avenue in Fullerton.
The woman was sitting in the passenger seat of a Toyota RAV4 SUV that was stopped at a traffic light.
That’s when a 25-year-old Anaheim man in a BMW sedan reportedly failed to stop and slammed into the SUV at around 12:10 p.m. on April 15th, according to the Orange County Register. The crash also caused the BMW to collide into the side of a pickup truck in another lane.
The Fullerton Police Department and paramedics responded to the Fullerton intersection, but the passenger from the RAV4 SUV died on scene.
Meanwhile, the drivers of both the RAV4 and the BMW were transported by ambulances to hospitals for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Also, the pickup truck driver was treated only at the scene, police said.
Investigators continue to work on the case and will determine if speed or driving under the influence were factors in the collision.
