
1 Killed, 2 Injured in Crash at Gardena Intersection
GARDENA, Calif. (March 17, 2023) — One person has died and two others suffered injuries early Friday in a Gardena crash at Rosecrans and Vermont avenues.
The high-speed crash took place around 3 a.m. on March 17th, according to the Gardena Police Department.
Gardena police responded to the crash scene and located three victims from two vehicles, according to KCAL News.
Sadly, one of the people died at the scene, however, two others were transported by ambulances to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Meanwhile, witnesses told investigators that one of the two vehicles involved was traveling at a high rate of speed and apparently ran a red light prior to the crash.
Authorities closed down all southbound lanes of Vermont Avenue for several hours to investigate.
