Motorcyclist Killed in Pomona Freeway Crash
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (May 23, 2022) – A fatal Hacienda Heights motorcycle accident happened early Monday morning on the Pomona (60) Freeway.
The collision occurred about 12:05 a.m. on May 23rd between the motorcycle rider and another motorist.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of the Pomona Freeway at Seventh Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol.
A man in his 20s was riding the motorcycle and went down in traffic lanes. He suffered major injuries and died at the scene, police said.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 12:05 a.m. and closed down the HOV, 1, 2 and 3 westbound lanes as well as the Seventh Avenue on-ramp to the eastbound lanes of the Pomona Freeway. Later, they canceled the SigAlert about 2:45 a.m.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Hacienda Heights motorcycle accident.
