Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Ventura 101 Freeway
VENTURA, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2022) — A motorcycle rider died Sunday in a collision with a hit-and-run motorist on the Ventura 101 Freeway, north of Rice Avenue.
The collision occurred about 10:14 a.m. on Nov. 6th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A suspect in a black vehicle reportedly struck the victim and fled on foot. Authorities released a K-9 officer to search for the suspect, but it’s unknown at this time if they found the person.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help the rider, but sadly the person died at the scene.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the motorcycle and the black vehicle from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
