Woman Struck, Killed on S. Union Avenue in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (March 29, 2024) —A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened early Friday morning on South Union Avenue in Bakersfield.
The deadly crash occurred in the 7700 block of S. Union Avenue on March 29th at Hosking Avenue, according to Bakersfield Police.
A driver in a light-colored vehicle was heading northbound on S. Union Avenue when they struck the woman walking in an eastbound direction in the roadway.
Paramedics responded to help the woman with major injuries, but unfortunately she was pronounced the dead at the scene.
The investigation into the fatal traffic accident is ongoing.
