Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Beach Boulevard
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2022) — A fatal Huntington Beach pedestrian accident happened Tuesday, Feb. 6th on Beach Boulevard, just north of Heil Avenue.
The deadly crash happened about 6:30 p.m. at the Huntington Beach intersection, according to a press release by the Huntington Beach Police Department.
A 76-year-old woman driving in a silver 2004 Toyota Corolla reportedly struck a woman in the southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard.
Additionally, the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD) and paramedics responded to the scene where the victim was located in the roadway.
The driver of the Corolla stopped her car and cooperated with police officers. During the investigation into the accident, police determined the pedestrian was in the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision. Also, they do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
The investigation into the Huntington Beach pedestrian accident is ongoing. The HBPD Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is heading it up.
