Man Struck, Killed by Van in Lancaster Area
LANCASTER, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2022) – Hector Reyes, 28, of Colton, died in a Lancaster pedestrian accident early Sunday on Avenue I, just east of 80th Street East.
A driver in a van struck the San Bernardino County man about 5:45 a.m. on Sunday at the Lancaster intersection, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The 1994 Ford Econoline van was traveling eastbound on Avenue I in a dark area where there are no street lights, police said. It’s unknown wat this time what led to the collision with Hector Reyes.
However, the motorist in the van stopped at the scene following the collision.
The cause of the traffic accident remains under investigation. It’s unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs are a factor.
