Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle And Killed in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2021) – Jaizell Mabin, 26, died in a Long Beach pedestrian accident early Wednesday morning on Pacific Coast Highway.
A 24-year-old driver in a 2009 Honda Pilot struck a Signal Hill man about 5:50 a.m. on Oct. 6th, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The pedestrian was hit by the eastbound vehicle while crossing southbound on PCH at Lewis Avenue outside of a crosswalk, police said. The Signal Hill man suffered major injuries and died soon afterwards. Meanwhile, the driver involved stopped and cooperated with authorities and the investigation into the Long Beach pedestrian accident.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim as Jaizell Mabin.
The Long Beach Police Department is heading up the investigation.
Authorities do not suspect speed, impaired driving, and distracted driving were factors.
