Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident in Long Beach

 Fatal Long Beach Pedestrian Accident Willow Avenue (Oct. 17) LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2021) – A fatal Long Beach pedestrian accident happened Sunday night on East Willow Avenue.

A driver in an unknown vehicle struck and killed a man as he crossed the Long Beach street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The collision happened about 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 17th in the 900 block of East Willow Avenue, police said.

The driver fled the scene without stopping to help the dying man, authorities said.

Paramedics transported the injured man by ambulance to a hospital. Sadly, despite efforts by doctors, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Meanwhile, the Long Beach Police Department is heading up an investigation into the crash.
