Man Struck, Killed by Vehicle on PCH in the Malibu Area
MALIBU, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2021) – A fatal Malibu pedestrian accident happened early Friday on Pacific Coast Highway near Carbon Canyon Road.
The deadly crash prompted the closure of a stretch of Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A driver struck a man in the roadway about 6 a.m. in the 22000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Authorities did not release the identity of the fatally injured person.
Meanwhile, the motorist involved stopped and remained at the scene. Sheriff’s deputies interviewed the motorist and questioned the person about what led up to the traffic accident.
Also, law enforcement officers closed down PCH in both directions between Carbon Canyon Road and Malibu Canyon Road, according to a news source.
The investigation is ongoing and police will determine liability for the man’s death.
