Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash I-15 Freeway, SR-138 at Cajon Junction
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (April 15, 2022) — A fatal multi-vehicle accident on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just north of State Route 138 happened Friday near the Cajon Junction in San Bernardino County.
The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-15 about 1:50 a.m. on April 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a motorcyclist went down in traffic lanes. Also, the drivers of a semi-truck, a silver or gold Honda and a dark blue Kia were involved. The Honda was “smashed up real good,” according to a witness who called 911. At least one person died at the crash scene.
It’s unknown what led up to the multi-vehicle crash at this time.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash and investigation.
