Rebecca Coronado-Obregon, 38, Killed in Crash on Highway 70
OLIVEHURST, Calif. (May 7, 2021) – A fatal Olivehurst pedestrian accident happened early Friday morning when a car struck a woman walking on Highway 70.
The traffic accident happened around 2:25 a.m. Friday, May 7th on Highway 70, just north of McGowan Parkway, according to Action News.
The Marysville woman was walking in one of the Highway 70 traffic lanes in a dark area of the highway. An oncoming southbound driver in a Toyota Echo struck the victim because he didn’t see her in the roadway.

Meanwhile, the woman suffered major injuries and died at the scene of the collision, the CHP said. The woman was later identified as Rebecca Coronado-Obregon by the coroner.
Investigators do not believe that alcohol and/or drugs were factors in the fatal Olivehurst pedestrian accident.
