Deadly Crash on Ventura 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (April 8, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened Sunday morning on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills.

The crash occurred at around 5:15 a.m. on the eastbound 101 Freeway at Mulholland Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities discovered the person’s body lying in a middle lane, but it appears the driver involved may have fled the scene, the CHP said.

Police issued a Sigalert at 5:35 a.m. and closed down the eastbound lanes of the freeway until 10:50 a.m. when the freeway reopened.
