Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Hale Avenue in Coyote
COYOTE, Calif. (March 14, 2024) — A fatal, hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Thursday morning at Hale Avenue and Live Oak Avenue in Coyote.
The collision occurred at around 6:11 a.m. on March 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a vehicle struck the victim and fled the scene. A second motorist in a truck ran over the man in the roadway and it also appears this driver failed to stop.
Paramedics responded and confirmed the victim’s death at the scene. The man’s name and age were not released, pending notification of his family.
Meanwhile, police closed down Hale Avenue to traffic and closed down roads leading to the crash scene including Live Oak Avenue, Daugherty Avenue, Miramonte Avenue and Madrone Avenue.
Investigators continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal pedestrian accident on Hale Avenue in Coyote.
