
Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-run Crash in Downtown LA
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 22, 2023) — A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened early Wednesday morning on the Harbor 110 Freeway near Olympic Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch reported there was a body down in the southbound No. 2 lane around 2:11 a.m. on March 22nd.
Meanwhile, several vehicles pulled over after multiple vehicles ran over the person in the middle lanes of the freeway. However, the initial driver who struck the victim reportedly fled.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene, but the person was declared deceased. The report did not mention the victim’s gender, age or identity.
Police issued a SigAlert for the Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 lanes of the freeway for roughly three hours. Investigators are piecing together what led to the pedestrian accident on the 110 Freeway and are searching for the suspect.
