Woman, 52, Struck and Killed at Fairmont Park Intersection
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 1, 2024) — A 52-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Easter Sunday while crossing Home Avenue in the Fairmont Park neighborhood in San Diego.
The San Diego Police Department reported the collision took place at 4:57 p.m. on Sunday, March 31st, according to the Times of San Diego. A northbound 2020 Honda Pilot reportedly struck the victim walking eastbound at the intersection.
The SUV was approaching the intersection with Gateway Drive and struck the victim at or near the crosswalk, according to the report.
Authorities did not release the victim’s name at this time, pending notification of her next of kin.
