Semi-Truck Hits Pedestrian on Mission Road On Ramp
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Dec. 1, 2022) — A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on the Mission Road on ramp to the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway happened Thursday near downtown Los Angeles.
A semi-truck reportedly struck the pedestrian before 4 a.m. on Dec. 1, but continued driving, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and sadly pronounced the person dead at the scene, according to CHP officials.
Also, authorities issued a SigAlert due to the crash for roughly two hours.
Investigators are working on the case and piecing together evidence to locate the suspect in the semi-truck.
