Pedestrian Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash in Northridge
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2022) – A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened on Memorial Day when a driver struck a man on Nordhoff Street near Wilbur Avenue.
The motorist struck the 60-year-old man about 7:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital where he later died, police said. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner has not released the victim’s name.
Authorities are hoping the public can help them located the suspected hit-and-run driver.
The LAPD believes a driver in a gray Dodge Charger was traveling westbound on Nordhoff Street when they hit the victim. The suspect allegedly made a U-turn and took off eastbound on Nordhoff Street.
