
2 Motorcycles in Fatal Crash on I-10 Freeway
THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (March 30, 2023) — A fatal Thousand Palms motorcycle accident happened Thursday morning on the Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Monterey Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes around 10 a.m. on March 30th on the eastbound I-10 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters responded and paramedics provide CPR to at least one person who was badly injured in the crash. They treated at least three people who all suffered serious injuries following the collision between two motorcycles.
Three people were transported to the hospital, according to CAL Fire Riverside. Sadly, at least one of the victims died from their injuries. There are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, authorities issued a SigAlert as they had two lanes closed due to the investigation and cleanup.
Investigators are piecing together what happened and will determine fault for the Thousand Palms motorcycle accident.
