Ryder Truck in Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route Highway 89
TRUCKEE, Calif. (August 26, 2022) — A fatal crash on Highway 89 and Cabin Creek Road happened Friday morning in Truckee.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred about 1:23 p.m. on August 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Ryder truck reportedly pulled out in front of several other cars today on State Route 89. The truck collided head-on with at least one other motorist before colliding with the others including a Subaru and a Ford Escape.
Paramedics responded to help those injured in the crash, but there are no further details. One person suffered major injuries and died on scene.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the accident.
