Motorcyclist Killed, Passenger Hurt
VAN NUYS, Calif. (Feb. 29, 2024) – A fatal motorcycle accident happened Wednesday night on Woodley Avenue Lake Balboa and Van Nuys.
The rider was heading southbound and collided with an SUV that turned left into his path in the 7000 block of Woodley Avenue between Hart Street and Sherman Way, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
LAPD officers responded to the scene at around 7:18 p.m. and located the motorcyclist and his female passenger with major injuries, KTLA 5 News reports.
Paramedics transported them both to a hospital where the male rider died and his passenger remains in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV stopped and cooperated with police at the crash scene, but it’s unknown if there were any arrests or charges filed.
Finally, the fatal motorcycle accident on Woodley Avenue remains under investigation.
