Woman Riding Electric Bicycle Struck, Killed in Westminster
WESTMINSTER, Calif. (March 4, 2024) – A driver struck and killed a woman riding an electric bicycle Thursday afternoon at Brookhurst Street and Bolsa Avenue in Westminster.
The Westminster Police Department responded to the intersection at around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29th and located the woman down in the roadway.
Orange County Fire Authority also responded with paramedics to help the injured woman, but unfortunately she died at the scene, police said.
Meanwhile, the driver involved in the traffic accident stopped and cooperated with the Westminster police investigation.
The Westminster Police Department Traffic Bureau is working on the case, but the name of the woman in her 60s who died was not released.
