Fiery Crash in Westminster on the Interstate 405 Freeway Claims One Life
WESTMINSTER, Calif. (June 18, 2021) – A fatal Westminster crash on the 405 Freeway early Friday left one person dead and another injured.
Also, the collision led to the closure of several northbound lanes of the freeway and a SigAlert.
The fiery crash happened about 4:54 a.m. on June 18th on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A vehicle crashed into a wall on the right shoulder and caught on fire. One person managed to get out of the vehicle, but another remained inside.
Meanwhile, police closed down the numbers three and four lanes of the freeway, just south of Valley View Street.
There were few details about what led to the fatal Westminster crash on the 405 Freeway.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
