Motorcycle Rider Killed in Yuba City Collision
Yuba City, California (November 10, 2021) – A fatal Yuba City motorcycle accident happened Monday night on Butte House Road at Oro Grande Street.
The 31-year-old Marysville man riding the motorcycle died in a collision with a truck in Yuba City, according to ABC 10 News.
The deadly crash happened about 5:22 p.m. on Monday, November 8th at the Yuba City intersection.
Police reviewed video footage from the scene that indicated the motorcyclist was allegedly speeding. He was also reportedly passing vehicles on the right and left sides of the roadway leading up to the collision.
Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Butte House Road in Yuba City
Paramedics responded and located the injured motorcyclist down in the roadway. The man suffered major injuries and was transported to Adventist Rideout Hospital. Sadly, he later died of his injuries at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the 69-year-old Yuba City man who was driving the truck stopped and cooperated with the police. Investigators do not suspect the truck driver of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. However, it’s unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors contributing to the crash by the motorcyclist.
The Yuba City traffic accident remains under investigation.
