FONTANA, Calif. (Feb. 21, 2023) — A Fontana crash happened Tuesday morning on the Interstate 210 Freeway, just west of Sierra Avenue.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 5:55 a.m. on Feb. 21st on the westbound I-210 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a black Dodge Challenger and a gray Nissan Frontier pickup truck collided due to unknown circumstances.
The pickup truck “flew up in the air and landed near the center divider,” the report said. It wound up facing the wrong way in the HOV and No. 1 lanes with gas spilled and debris scattered across the freeway. The Dodge ended up in the No. 3 lane.
Authorities reported the Dodge was allegedly driving recklessly prior to the collision.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, but the injuries were considered to be minor at this time.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the collision.
