2-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rig Truck in Huron
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Aug. 1, 2022) — A Fresno County crash happened Monday morning at Lassen Avenue and Dorris Avenue in Huron.
The collision occurred about 6:11 a.m. on August 1st at state Routes 269 and 198, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The semi-truck loaded with tomatoes overturned and spilled its load of fruit into the roadway, police said. The truck also had a major gas leak following the crash. Meanwhile, authorities closed down both the north and south-bound lanes of the freeway.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries. They transported the person to the hospital, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, a heavy-duty tow truck came to remove the semi-truck from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
