Multi-Vehicle Collisions on the Orange (57) Freeway
FULLERTON, Calif. (August 30, 2022) — Two multi-vehicle collisions on the northbound Orange (57) Freeway in Fullerton happened Tuesday morning, just south of Chapman Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol reported the two separate collisions involving nine motorists occurred on the freeway about 7:15 a.m. on August 30th.
One of the collisions involved three vehicles and only property damage. However, the other had six vehicles and minor injuries.
Amazon Truck Among Vehicles Involved in Fullerton Crash
The vehicles involved included an Amazon semi-truck, a Toyota sedan, a gray SUV and a mangled Nissan compact car.
Many of the vehicle occupants apparently exited their vehicles and were standing in traffic lanes following the crash, the CHP dispatch said. Some were injured and they requested at least one ambulance.
Also, Metro Net Fire Authority responded to the 57 Freeway to help those hurt in the Fullerton crash. However, the CHP report did not provide any specific details.
Meanwhile, investigators are piecing together evidence and statements from those involved in the Fullerton crash on the 57 Freeway to determine liability.
