(UPDATED) Woman Killed in Head on Crash Identified
NORTHEAST ANTELOPE VALLEY, Calif. (March 2, 2022) – Gina Brown, 48, of Palmdale, and her son, Philmillion Jones, 20, both died and in a head-on motorcycle versus car crash on Pearblossom Highway in the Northeast Antelope Valley.
Two Littlerock women were injured in the collision.
The Palmdale woman was riding on a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that collided with another motorist, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office. Her son, Philmillion Jones, was riding on her bike as a passenger.
The two suffered multiple trauma injuries during the collision at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27th Pearblossom Highway (state Route 18) west of 263rd Street East, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Harley-Davidson motorcycle reportedly veered across double yellow lines into the westbound lane on SR-18, police said.
That’s when the bike crashed head-on into a 2021 Toyota occupied by the two Littlerock women.
Gina Brown died at the scene and Philmillion Jones suffered major injuries. Paramedics transported the injured man to Antelope Valley Hospital, but he later died of his injuries, police said.
Meanwhile, the two women from the Toyota were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash. It’s unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor.
Brown leaves behind 10 children including five who are under the age of 18. Her family has a GoFundMe to help with burial expenses.
