Bus Accident on Highway 99 in Visalia
VISALIA, Calif. (August 4, 2022) — A Greyhound bus reportedly overturned in a solo crash Wednesday morning on Highway 99, just north of Avenue 264.
The bus accident occurred about 3:15 a.m. on August 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol and Fox26News. The vehicle occupied by 34 passengers reportedly drifted to the right shoulder and crashed into a chain-link fence.
Several people suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate after the bus overturned onto its side in the parking lot of a nearby packing house.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the injured to Kaweah Health Medical Center.
Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol are factors in the collision, but it is still under investigation.
