Pedestrian Hit on Highway 99; Police Arrest Motorcyclist for DUI
GRIDLEY, Calif. (August 24, 2022) – A Gridley pedestrian accident happened early Wednesday morning on Highway 99, just south of Highway 162 and Gridley.
The collision occurred about 3:30 a.m. on August 24th, according to Action News Now.
A motorcyclist and passenger were apparently stopped on the shoulder of Highway 99 when the passenger got off the bike and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured person to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Meanwhile, police responded to the scene and determined the person driving the motorcycle was driving under the influence of drugs and or alcohol.
Authorities arrested the driver for DUI. It’s unknown at this time what the cause of the pedestrian versus car accident.
