Fatal 2-Vehicle Car Crash at Mission and Jolon Roads
JOLON, Calif. (June 13, 2022) — Four people died and one suffered injuries in a head-on car accident happened Monday at Mission Road and Jolon Road in Monterey County.
The deadly traffic accident occurred about 6:28 a.m. on June 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Toyota Corolla and a Honda Civic collided, just east of the Schoonover Airfield.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help the injured. However, four people died following the crash. They are identified as Xiong Lee, 44, Malisa Moua, 52, Pa Vue, 36, and the driver, Mary Lee, 45. A driver in the Honda suffered serious injuries in the crash. Paramedics transported 43-year-old Thomas Boots III of Hughson, to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both of the vehicles for evidence.
It’s unknown what led up to the crash, but authorities are investigating the circumstances.
