2-Vehicle Collision on Highway 49 in Mokelumne Hill
Mokelumne Hill, Calif. (April 16, 2024) — Two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash Tuesday morning on Highway 49 near Big Bar Road in Mokelumne Hill, Calaveras County.
The collision occurred in the 13 corners area at around 8 a.m. on April 16th close to the Amador County line, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
Police responded to the area and located both vehicles blocking Highway 49.
At least one person was injured, but there are no further details at this time.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the roadway and investigators are working to determine fault for the Highway 49 crash in Calaveras County.
