Heather Garcia Falls Out of Party Bus in Fatal Accident on Hollywood (101) FreewayLOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 31, 2022) – Heather Garcia, 29, died early Saturday after falling from a party bus traveling on the Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.

The deadly accident happened about 2:55 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the scene of the accident on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway at Los Angeles Street, the CHP said.

The victim was reportedly dancing on the party bus when she tripped and fell out a back door, her brother Juan told CBS Los Angeles. An oncoming vehicle struck her in the No. 3 lane of the northbound freeway. Authorities say the driver of that vehicle stopped and cooperated with authorities.

Meanwhile, the mother of five children suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was aboard the bus with friends and family members celebrating her upcoming birthday on Jan. 31st and her cousin’s birthday.

Investigators with the CHP’s Central Los Angeles office would like to speak with any witnesses. Please call them at 323-343-0732. It’s unknown at this time why the door would open while the bus was moving.

The young woman is survived by her husband and five children ages ages of 1 through 10 years old. Her husband is a U.S. Army Veteran and has established a GoFundMe to pay her funeral expenses and support the family.

Woman Killed in Fall from Party Bus in National City

This is not the first time a woman died falling out of a party bus in Southern California. Back on August 28th, Brigette Duenas, 25, was gravely injured when she opened an emergency exit and fell off the bus. She was hospitalized and died three days later on Aug. 31 in San Diego hospital.

Our thoughts and prayers extend to the family of Heather Garcia as they cope with this tragedy.
