2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 395 in Mono County, California
MONO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2021) — A major injury Highway 395 car crash happened Friday morning just south of Lee Vining in Mono County.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 9:24 a.m. on Oct. 22nd, near the June Lake Loop, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision. Also, the CHP report did not provide details about the vehicles involved.
Paramedics with the local fire department responded due to reportedly injuries following the crash, police said. At least one person was transported to a hospital in critical condition, but the CHP report did not provide the total number of injured people from the crash. Also, police did not provide the age, gender or identity of anyone involved.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash and liability, police said.
