 Jaime Loza Killed, Rolando Sanchez Arrested Fatal Del Rey Hit-and-run Crash

Suspect in Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident is Arrested; Victim ID’d

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (March 24, 2023) — Jaime Loza, 48, died in a hit-and-run crash and Rolando Sanchez, 54, now faces murder charges.

Rolando Sanchez allegedly struck Jaime Loza at Carmel and Morro avenues in Del Rey around 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 16th.

Jaime Loza of Del Rey was found suffering major injuries at the intersection and he was rushed to a hospital where he survived until March 21st, according to a press release by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department.

Meanwhile, investigators working on the case later determined a black Chevrolet Tahoe was involved in the wreck and traced its owner to Rolando Sanchez of Del Rey.

The case is being investigated as a homicide and Rolando Sanchez was booked into the Fresno County Jail on murder charges.
