 James Maestas Fatal Bakersfield Crash Gosford Road, White Lane

Man Injured in Crash Dies at Hospital

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. (April 1, 2024) — James Maestas, 63, died nearly two weeks after a crash with another motorist in Bakersfield on Gosford Road, near White Lane in Kern County.

It’s unknown what led up to the crash between the drivers of a black sedan and a maroon sedan, but both of them had major damage.

The Bakersfield Police Department responded to the crash scene at around 6:42 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12th and located James Maestas and a second person with major injuries at the crash scene, Bakersfield Now reports.

Paramedics transported both of them to a hospital for further treatment, but Maestas died to Kern Medical Center where he later died on March 25th, KGET reports.

Meanwhile, police closed down the roadway in both directions between White Land and South Laurelglen to investigate the cause of the crash.
