James Vaughn Killed in Clovis Crash at Herndon and Helm Avenues

Driver Killed in 3-Vehicle Clovis Car Accident

CLOVIS, Calif. (March 28, 2024) — James Vaughn, 81, of Fresno, died and a second person was injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at Herndon and Helm avenues in Clovis.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 2:14 p.m. on March 27th, near the Clovis Commons shopping center, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department and KMPH.

James Vaughn was reportedly driving a gray car that crossed over the median into opposing traffic and collided with a red sedan.

Another driver sustained undisclosed injuries and was transported to a hospital.

Investigators closed down Herndon Avenue between Helm and Willow to conduct their investigation.
