Indio Man Killed in Crash on I-10 Freeway is ID’d
CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. (April 12, 2024) — Jason Jester, 41, of Indio, died Thursday night in a two-vehicle car crash on the Interstate 10 Freeway, just east of Palm Drive.
The collision occurred at around 1:58 a.m. on Thursday, April 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the 41-year-old man was driving a pickup truck that swerved and sideswiped another motorist on the right side of the freeway in the number 3 lane.
That’s when the pickup truck went off the freeway onto the right shoulder where it struck a sign and overturned, the report said.
The pickup truck driver was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene. The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner later identified the man as Jason Jester.
Meanwhile, a 50-year-old Arizona woman riding in the car he sideswiped did not report any immediate injuries after the collision.
The Cathedral City crash on the 10 Freeway remains under investigation by the CHP Indio station.
