Fatal Head-on Crash in Cathedral City
CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2022) – Jason Paige, 42, of Dana Point, died and several others were hurt Sunday morning in a crash on Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City.
The collision occurred about 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 4th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
Jason Paige was reportedly traveling north on Date Palm Drive when he crossed over the center divider into oncoming traffic, just south of Varner Road, according to The Desert Sun and My News LA.,
The motorist crashed head-on into another vehicle and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the occupants from the second vehicle suffered moderate injuries in the Cathedral City collision. Paramedics transported them by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment. The police report did not mention the name, age and gender of the individuals who were hurt in the crash.
Also, authorities closed down a stretch of Date Palm Drive following the wreck to conduct an investigation.
