Man Killed in Crash at Intersection Near Caruthers
CARUTHERS, Calif. (April 1, 2024) — Jeremy Wilson, 33, of Kingsburg, allegedly ran a stop sign and T-boned a pickup truck Thursday at South Elm Avenue and E. Conejo Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 1:09 p.m. on March 28th, near Caruthers in Fresno County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported Jeremy Wilson was the driver of a green Pontiac traveling eastbound when his vehicle failed to yield for a stop sign, ABC 30 News reports. The car T-boned a northbound white Ford pickup truck at the Fresno County intersection. Upon impact, the Pontiac driver was ejected from his vehicle into the roadway.
Paramedics responded to the intersection and pronounced the Kingsburg man dead at the scene. A dog from one of the vehicles also died.
Meanwhile, the driver from the pickup truck was treated for minor injuries.
Additionally, PG & E was also called to handle a downed power pole and lines from the collision.
Investigators are working on the case and asking witnesses to contact them.
