Johnnie Binegar, 67, Killed in Crash on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road
TEHACHAPI, CA (May 29, 2023) – Johnnie Binegar was killed after a crash on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road in Tehachapi.
The coroner’s office identified the 67-year-old Tehachapi man as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place last month.
The incident happened when Johnnie Steven Binegar was riding a vehicle which collided with another in Tehachapi. The California Highway Patrol said the two crashed head-on on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
The Bakersfield Californian and Bakersfield Now wrote that the collision occurred on February 15 at around 2:08 p.m., south of Highline Road.
Johnnie Binegar died at the scene of the crash. The reports did not mention if any other party ended up hurt as a result of the accident.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Tehachapi Willow Springs Road to shut down for hours following the crash. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
