2-Vehicle Lakeview Crash on Ramona Expressway
LAKEVIEW, Calif. (March 17, 2022) — Joshua Vasquez-Escamilla, 21, of San Jacinto, died in a Lakeview crash on the Ramona Expressway Thursday morning near Hansen Avenue at the border with Nuevo.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred at 5:41 a.m. on March 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported at least two motorists, including a small flatbed truck and a red Chevrolet Malibu, collided due to unknown circumstances. Cal Fire Riverside responded with paramedics to help those injured, but sadly Joshua Vasquez-Escamilla died at 6:15 a.m. at the scene. It’s unknown at this time how many suffered injuries in the crash.
Tow trucks also came to remove the damaged vehicles following the collision.
Meanwhile, investigators with the CHP Riverside are piecing together evidence and will determine fault for the Lakeview crash on the Ramona Expressway.
