The violent, four-vehicle collision happened about 9:46 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23rd, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department. A driver in a white BMW was allegedly speeding when it collided with the other motorists. An engine from one of the cars came out of the car and crashed into a building.

Also, the fatal Manhattan Beach crash led to the closure of a section of Sepulveda Boulevard for several hours early this morning, KTLA News reports.

They located Katie-Jay Scott, Christian Mendoza and an unidentified man in his 50s who were all killed in the collision between four vehicles. Additionally, they reported two adults and a juvenile suffered injuries in the collision and required ambulances. They were all transported to a hospital in unknown conditions, according to CBS 2 News. One of them suffered major injuries in the collision.
