Woman Suffers Major Injuries in Hit-and-run Crash State Route Highway 58
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2021) — A Keene pedestrian accident on Highway 58 happened Tuesday morning in Kern County.
The hit-and-run collision happened on the Barstow-Bakersfield Highway about 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver struck the young woman and then fled the scene without stopping to help her.

The suspect’s vehicle is believed to be a semi-truck, but there is no further information at this time. Additionally, paramedics with the Kern County Fire Department responded and located a woman with major injuries due to the pedestrian accident on Highway 58.
Also, fire officials closed the roadway at the westbound Keene off ramp to Woodford Tehachapi Road, the report said.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the collision and hope to locate the suspect who fled.
